The thing that may give this controversy legs is that Kerry has finally gone on the attack. This means that all the major media will now cover it. And slant it Kerry's way, of course. Remember the old saying, "I don't care what the say, as long as they spell my name right." The Vets need the exposure they can't buy with their small budget. When Chris ran the ad today, that gave it more exposure than it has had on TV. The same thing will now happen on network TV. They can't get around it.

Then all the new examples of Kerry's perfidy, such as changing his Silver Star commendation, will make the news and keep it going.

I hate to get my hopes up. I am sure the media will do their best to dash them. :>)

I have a horror movie on tape to watch
Ha. I thought that's what we WERE watching with Matthews.
This morning, feeling that PfP was getting a little too rabidly partisan and wanting to remind myself there are always two ways to see something, I read a little on a Kerry thread. They see Matthews as having done a "kickass" job on Thurlow, tearing him into little pieces, and they said terrible things about Michelle Malkin.
Keith Olbermann of Countdown called her an idiot last night, and highfived Matthews about his astute handling of Thurlow and Malkin. He defends himself this morning in a column on his site but imo calling anyone an idiot automatically dq's that person as an intelligent participant in a debate.
And then I found myself writing HIM saying how about asking the hard questions of both sides, and cutting out the ad hominems, which are the mark of an ignorant, weak mind anyway. Along with ridicule, sarcasm, and condescension.
I am beginning to worry about my mental health and am going to go do something non-political.
