Bearcatbob,

I've been thinking about demand, oil prices and recessions.

Need to do some research but I remember reading that except for the oil crises of the early 70's, energy demand drops very little during a typical recession.

This sounds crazy and goes against conventional thinking but I don't believe we'll see much of decrease in enegry usage unless there is a full blown depression. Homes still get heated, cars get driven and our service based economy needs computers humming...

I could be way of base here but will go hunt for support.

Frank - you want to comment of this?
