I was in Thailand! --- very close to where the action was! I am nobody's mouthpiece. You may $hit!! all you want. But I told what I knew. I know lots more but consideration for the feelings of many hold me back.

Do you believe "My country right or wrong"? I believe, as a citizen in a democracy, when my country is wrong, it's my duty to oppose it. My country was wrong in Vietnam, and is wrong in Iraq. The Vietnamese set an example for the world in resisting American imperial ambitions there. They are rightfully proud to have exhausted the patience of the world's greatest superpower at the cost of millions of Vietnamese dead and even more millions wounded. Their lesson is taken up by the Iraqis today. Whether the Iraqis can equal the sacrifice of the Vietnamese is yet to be seen, as is whether we will duplicate our Vietnamese failure in Iraq. There is still time to take a different path.
