No. Why should I? It has already been proven to be based on dubious claims, distant memories and outright lies.

I didn't read the book that claimed the Israelis controlled the planes on 9/11 by remote control either. That was another best seller (sick huh?) Just another piece of garbage ...

If you want to read a factual book by a journalist about Kerry's Vietnam experience, read "Tour of Duty" by Douglas Brinkley.

unclewest,
With all due respect (and that's not much, as far as I'm concerned)your political posts have been limited to character asassination of the Democratic candidate based solely on innuendo about his time served in Viet Nam.

In my opinion, having read your posts on various threads-- most notably that viper's nest of the right wing, misnamed "Politics for Pros"-- you're in the same league as the swiftvets who are pursuing political goals by smearing Kerry's military service.

I lost confidence in you and your judgement a few years ago. I see you're still throwing your military experience around as a moral weight. But I doubt you'll sway any of the patriots here who are choosing to vote for Kerry. We're onto you. And those like you.

And I'm glad for that: not everyone relinquishes her personal sense of ethics to someone on the internet whose extreme right wing invective is masked ever-so-prettily in camoflage.

My advice to you (and my suggestion to Chinu): return to the one place on SI where you will not be regularly met with intelligent opposition from people who see you as just another citizen.

Which you so clearly are.
