most notably that viper's nest of the right wing, misnamed "Politics for Pros"-- nice to see somebody else had the same impression I did. What a bunch of blowhards, who backed up their ridiculous assertions with self absorbtion! They were thinking bush was a shoo-in in CA last I was there. LOL!

I heard a Swiftee today say they received donations of $100,000 last Thursday and $175,000 on Friday. I found that astonishing! But terrific. I've sent two checks but believe me they were puny by those numbers. I wonder how many demos have been motivated to send checks to Kerry because of this? And I really wonder why all the Demo big guns are hiding. None of them were on talk shows today (Except Lieberman and he was quite bland...never taking Kerry's position.). All we got were third string bench warmers. And all of them were paid Kerry puppets. Were are your leaders? Kennedy, Daschle, Clinton, Clinton the II, Schumar, etc., etc.. Where are the Demo big guns? Kerry is sailing his ship all alone. uw

Which you so clearly are.>>>>>> Well, fellow Dem..so are you..that is, just another citizen..one vote..We all are individually 'just another citizen'..except those who we choose to give more credence and affirmation whether it's deserved or no..unclewest's posts I find give another view and experience that many here on SI don't possess..imo, we can choose to integrate any posters information as we choose..but for a party like ours for whom human dignity is paramount..that comment truly did not seem to 'fit in'.. I lurk and occassionally have posted on Politics for Pro's thread..and as a card carrying Democrat, I find the conversations over there much more balanced than the other partisan threads..I want to hear all aspects of the debate. And blind, unwilling to admit the shortcomings of the candidate we ultimately will vote for..is a disservice to you and me.. Being a blind follower is very destructive..I'm afraid that's what many fellow dem's are doing..even if Sept. 11 never happened nor any other grave event..imo,the the Dem brass were intent on bringing Bush down..and now with the Swift Boats for Truth people coming out..Kerry, as most Boston constituents(I'm one of them..lived up the street from him) know him to react: "Hey, don't you know who I am?" "I'm JFK, you can't challenge me." "I'm entitled to get in the theatre first.".."I'm entitled to keep my military records off limits." "I can question the president's credentials and humiliate him during a time of war to release his records. But I don't have to release mine." He and his advisors scripted the entire DNC except for a couple of non-conformists like Sharpton..now, he's employing fascist maneuvers to suppress the swifties..talk about a breach of what this country stands for..This behaviour has tipped the balance for me..he's utilizing what he deplores as Bush's MO..you're either with me or against me.. This is one of the most important election of our life time..please let's be able to thoughtfully look at both candidates without the stains of vitriol. And come up with what we think are most important characteristics of a candidate.. Zeta
