Mike, I'm not sure what you are calling a mistake - Kerry's emphasis on serving in Vietnam or the SwiftVets reaction, or both. If kerry had not made such a big deal out of his "band of brothers", it wouldn't have been an issue, because people would have said to the SwiftVets, "Why are you bringing this up now? Kerry's position on XYZ is what's important now." If you mean that we should be discussing other, more important issues, we will. The Republican convention will provide fresh meat and distraction from Vietnam, and hopefully provide a framework for discussion of what to do about the war on terror as well as domestic problems.

We understand your POV. Really we do. You have stated it at least 100 times. You even admitted you were wrong about the Swiftees potential influence. Now you are telling us they may have too much influence.

If you will take the time to read the Swiftees book, we may be able to get beyond your static point.
