Oh. I am not sure, I would relegate that one to "lie" since he qualified his comment by stating that they were only superficial wounds rather than disabling. I don't consider that as totally dishonest. I took it to mean he didn't suffer disabling damage. I don't see it as an intent to deceive us. But, I see your point; there would have been literal bleeding, even in superficial wounds.

Personally, I do not consider what Kerry has done as totally dishonest either. It appeared that he was honestly disrought over his experience and was vigilant in gathering "winter soldier" evidence to support his perspective. In my opinion he went too far in painting all Viet Nam vets as war criminals of the type he described in his report.

Much of the criticism of his perspective goes equally overboard. So, it is a wash. Now... After that, I have to ask what qualifies Kerry as a president? Leadership: Well he did show some in the VietNam Vets against the war movement 35 years ago. I would have liked to see something as a congressman though; since that is where he is springing from. He has been a Senator for a long time. That is where his current work should be representative of his qualifications. IMO
