I do not think it's fair to slam him for a generalization. But, you are of course are entitled to your opinion on that.

I don't think we lost the point...

My point, at least, is that Dole spent 39 months in military hospitals. Kerry didn't spend one night--not even on the day he caught shrapnel.

It has taken a lot to make Bob Dole angry and to speak out. I believe he is speaking out on behalf of all the veterans who received Purple Hearts for wounds serious enough to have affected their lives--like himself.

Remember that none of us would be talking about Kerry's wounds if he had not constantly brought the subject up himself. That is what is making people so angry.

I think Kerry is trying to change the subject now, and it is no wonder.
