What no one can explain is how that alone qualifies him to be President of the United States. No one can explain to me how spending four months on a patrol boat 35 years ago is a better qualification than spending the last three years destroying terrorist training camps, breaking up terror cells in the U.S. and abroad, uncovering a multinational nuclear proliferation ring, forcing belligerent North Korea to the bargaining table, cowing Libya into giving up its WMD program and terrorist support, and winning two wars against terrorist-supporting Islamofascist dictatorships in the process. I disagree for the following reasons:- 1. John Kerry is fit to be President of the USA. Rudy Giuliani (former mayor of New York and a Republican himself) has said that John's decade-long political experience in the Senate and elsewhere qualifies him for the post and that it was foolish to say otherwise. IMHO, Kerry's military experience will serve him well as Commander-in-Chief; 2. Terrorism is still thriving and terrorizing Americans at home and abroad, and more Moslem enemies are created than killed despite Bush's claims to the contrary; 3. It was not Bush but Chinese and Japanese diplomacy that was instrumental in bringing belligerent North Korea to the bargaining table; (you gave Bush too much credit) 4. The credit for Libya giving up its WMD program and terrorist support goes not to Bush but to Gadaffi (he claims it for himself anyway) and to Tony Blair (Prime Minister of the UK); See link A below. 5. The war in Afghanistan is still not over. We do not hear too much about it because It is now in its dormant phase, and besides there seems to be a blackout on news from there; 6. The War in Iraq is a ruinous war in terms of human resources (US soldiers returning daily in body bags and it has already cost $126 billion and counting, and it might continue with no end in sight, and it is obvious Bush's Iraq policy has gone awry; See link B below. 7. Bush's economic policy is not working as the economy is is in the doldrums and more jobs are created elsewhere than in the US; 8. Bush's education policy is not producing results; 9. America's image has deteriorated around the world; 10. The Bush Administration is considered to be dangerous, and America is an unsafe place to be in. There are other reasons but I suppose the above 10 constitute sufficient cause for Bush to be replaced. =========================================================== Link A. news.bbc.co.uk Link B. costofwar.com
