Losing Your Cool Isn't Very Presidential
Peter Murphy - Troy, N.Y.

I am unaware of a single public complaint by President Bush over the $60 million smear campaign against him by 527 groups supporting Kerry. Biting, unfair criticism comes with the job of president. So one anti-Kerry 527 group, Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, comes along, spends 0.01% of the money spent by anti-Bush groups, and John Kerry goes nuts, sends threatening letters to TV stations, and demands the publisher cease printing the book by John O'Neill, the head of Swift Boat Vets. Mr. Kerry's hysterical reaction, and his contempt for the First Amendment rights of those who disagree with him, shows he is unfit to be president, and a threat to the Constitution.

It appears to me this men are not getting a fair journalist review and most do not want to press for kerry's records.

I have watched more TV news in the last two weeks than I have watched in the last four years. Of course, that was almost zero. My impression of the lightweights doing it was really reinforced. They read the headline and maybe the first paragraph of any news story. Unless it is a famous trial. Then they know every detail. Almost NONE of these people have read the book. The ones that have stick out. Buchanan. Novak. And you can tell it when they deal with the others.

<font color=blue>"fipping cable channels i found most journalists or head talkers were saying book doesn't make it's case."<font color=black>

I see the same thing too John. And reading the blogs who
are covering all the news the elite media feels is fit to
print, they too are claiming that the Swiftees are all
discredidted liars who are part of the Bush right wing
smear machine.
