Mollie Ivins

Oh, I knew you love Mollie! You and my friend JohnM will be the best of buddies here when he comes back from his exile in NJ politics.

There were six points under consideration by the Swift vets two weeks ago. Kerry has already conceded on his Cambodia claims, and now the "rice bin" Purple heart is conceded. The first one will be conceded shortly. And this from the exposure of Kerry's contradictions in his own books, without the need of the Swift accusations. So it's "two down, four to go," and we are just barely into the investigation. With these two points impeached, the struggle is almost over.

You are still in "denial." I expect that in a couple of weeks, you will be saying, "but it doesn't mean anything!" That's step three, the "bargaining" stage.

That some confuse Ivins and Hightower with "thinking people" is sad testament to the state of the educational system.

The century past has been solid refutaion of their socialist/interventionist orientation, yet they're still around. Not unlike slugs.

KT, Anyone that grew up in Texas under the iron fist of the good ole boy democrat control, would completely understand why there are so many conservative, Republicans there now. The voting fraud that went on under democrat control was so bad, that dead people voted, and a ballot box that had been inspected by a democrat poll worker, that turned out to be against LBJ, it was thrown in a river in Duval county, and never seen again. That is just a small example of the strangle hold they had over the entire state. Those same good ole boys, had large farms, and ranches, with many share croppers, who were all black, and treated exactly like there slave ancestors were treated, so the big boss did their voting for them, and demanded that they sign there name to the ballot.
