LOL!!! Maybe on some other planet, but definitely NOT the case here on SI. Walk about a bit, on some of the "hot" threads:

In no time at all you'll see that the "moderated" part is mostly just in case someone "else" comes to visit, about whom the moderator is dead set: their "kind" is not really needed.

And that's just the Coffee house section of the SI town...

Don't even get me started on "moderated," Bob would have to moderate me off. (g)

Good enough. I've got one with one bannee- -a rather well known spreader of hate I have no use for. And, yes, he did show up and earn it. You've almost got to commit murder to get banned. :-)

OTOH, I think there's a place for the "clubhouses" like LWP and RWET which have many bannees.
