You're too funny. Ironically, Barry Goldwater was smeared to the extreme in '64 by the democrats as a warmonger. Instead, we got LBJ. That would have been funny, if not for the tragic loss of thousands of American lives in Vietnam at LBJ's incompetent hand. You advocate censorship to prevent the smearing of a good reputation. That's sick. What happens if somebody successfully creates a fraudulent image of himself before it is questioned or critiqued? Under your rules, that's too bad as far as the truth is concerned. Chinu...like I said...you have to run your thread as you see fit. But the sound of one hand clapping is very quiet. I agree with you that the Smearvets are doing basically that...smearing Kerry. So many lies have been told that it isn't funny any more. They have no credibility with anyone that thinks about it. They claim that they're angry because Kerry talked about the atrocities. Tommy Franks said a few days ago that what Kerry said was correct. That doesn't mean that every vet committed atrocities, Kerry never said that. Some are so thin skinned that they take offense to the truth ....even when it doesn't apply to them...or maybe it does and they have a guilty conscience...and that is what drives them to lie like this. The smear vets do have some pretty close ties to the Bush campaign too...very dangerous ground for the republicans to be treading on. Orca
