OT: put/call ratio you are talking about is generally short term options. Today's transaction of 5000 07 leaps indicates to me that someone is trying to establish a position and expects the stock to go up in next 1-2 years. It also gets you the insurance that you are not going to miss any rallies. If indeed the market goes down as you seem to indicate, the option value will erode minimally compared to stock value and will provide another opportunity to buy stocks at a cheaper price. I think am going to buy some 07 leaps in next few days to establish a long position. If the bottoms comes in september/october (for me that means amat price below 14), I will start buying stocks and hold them for a few years. So before labor day my plan to buy some leaps.

Any opinion will be appreciated.
