Lyndon LaRouche is a criminal and a lunatic. I don't really know much about Gus Hall as a person. I hope your general point isn't that third party candidates are, ipso fact, inferior to candidates run by the two major parties, whatever they are calling themselves over time. Too much morphing over the centuries to say that any one party is the same from decade to decade. Third parties perform the very valuable service of forcing voters to choose between positions that they really, really desire, which can only be found in a third party candidate, and persons who are really the evil of two lessers. Of course I'd far rather vote for Zell Miller or Joe Lieberman or Sam Nunn than Ralph Nader OR John Kerry.
