I know polls say that veteran support for Kerry is dropping like a stone, but the polls must be lying since the NYT couldn't find one single vet who thought the less of Kerry since seeing the ads, or even raised any questions about why so many of his fellow officers didn't like him.

I mean, the polls and the NYT can't both be right here.

That article dripped with anti-Bush pro-Kerry sentiment.

Here's an interesting question and one I pose because I was pretty young when anti-Vietnam War lines were being drawn.

Was there a defining moment or event that propelled the protests, or was it like a river slowly rising after a long rain?
