Agreed. It distorts the very reason that Kerry made the original testimony - to help our troops by exposing the failing military leadership, in order to get them home. Kerry was quick to point out that the troops themselves were not to blame in the vast majority of the cases. It was the military leadership, and civilian government's (both LBJ and Nixon) fault for waging a war that we could not win.
