When I was a delegate at the RNC there were protests. (There are always protests). The GOP was very concerned about violence, but nothing happened. This is nothing new.

One day, I went down to the park and talked with many of the protestors (I hid my GOP credentials). I found the discussions very stimulating. On my way back to the convention center (I've written about his before), the SWAT descended on me with a helicopter overhead, until I showed them my RNC photo ID card.

That was the most terrifying experience<g>.

Most demonstrations are loud but peaceful. A few trouble makers will not make any difference and I think that is all there will be - a few.
