OMD, Thank you for that URL. I went back to 1988 and see that I was miserably mistaken about Contra Costa County being a bastion of conservatism. That's funny because if one were to go out among the fine folk of CoCo County, one would get an overall impression of arch conservatism. Looking at the wide swings in how the various counties voted, one would have to say that if nothing else, California is politically diverse. And I still think that Bush will take California. - Holly
