Hackworth appeared to state that he doesn't believe we should be in Iraq. That's not John McCain position. He supports GW's Iraq policy. Hackworth's celebrity seems to have softened his warrior resolve in recent yrs. War was declared on the USA by Islamic terrorists. We confront them or pay the consequences. Sept 11 was the result of indecisive strategy by Pres Clinton who thought stalking OBL was sufficient. If we sit on our hands yet again, more innocent Americans will lose their lives here at home. We have a volunteer military & as a result the quality shows in their effectiveness & strong motivation. Hackworth has evidently taken Kerry's attitude of fighting a more "sensitive" war. How exactly is that possible with ruthless barbarians who would just as soon cut off all our heads?
