That "gunner" is not only a liar he has severe mental problems. Steve Gardner was the gunner who disobeyed Kerry's orders to CEASE FIRE! and mowed down four innocent people. Kerry wanted him court martialed. Ever sine Gardner has hated Kerry and has also had severe mental problems. Being approached by Rush Limbaugh and the Smearvets is his chance to deny the murders and somehow blame them on Kerry. Gardner refuses to show his face in public. Even the rightwing promoters of Garder admit he has mental problems, but they blame them on Kerry of course. LOL

unAmerican Spirit, is indeed the smear artist in this case. Gardner has appeared on major prime time talk shows. That doesn't sound like a man who's "afraid to show his face". I heard him talk about the accidental killing of a child that night because Kerry was either not at his command post or he was asleep. It was Kerry's job to give orders to fire a warning shot when sampans were approaching the swiftboat. Gardner did his job & announced that a small boat was approaching them BUT Kerry never ordered the warning shot or surveillance lights to examine the small boat. Gardner had to make a decision whether to protect the crews lives and fire at the boat to stop its advance or not. Kerry was no where to be seen or heard. Gardner, untrained to take command, decided to shoot at the boat for safety's sake. Unfortunately a small child was hit. Most suspicious however is the fact that John Kerry never mentioned the child or it's death in his after-action report.
