Gee I thought you might be talking about Algonquin Park Ontario.... wildlandsleague.org Go a ways in and it's not always pretty... Used to camp there a lot.. I had a beauty of a White Pine on my lot but it succumbed to carpenter ants... blew over in a winter storm.. was about 65ft tall.. puny by some Algonquin standards and someone mentioned fire... well yes seems that's required for proper new growth... then again some folks like farmed salmon too...
