Union of course have a right to exist, and they have a right to strike. Unions however do not have a right to pre-decide that others do not have the right to underbid them for the same specification for products or services. When Unions engage in threatening competiton, thats unamerican, unpatriotic, anti-capitalism, and quite frankly unfair to the freedoms of those willing to the same work for less. I'd like to see different union competing against each other. Competiton is the American way to ensure top notch efficiency and quality in the marketplace. For example if the Teamsters or AFSFCME do not have competitive counterpart unions, they are no better than a monopolist like Carnegie, Rockefeller or Microsoft. Bring in the full power of anti-trust upon their heads.
