I am a Caleefornian and like you I did not vote for him but would vote for him today. I met with him face to face.

True to his spirit, he also talked about disagreement. He is not a 'girlie man." he told those Republicans gathered there that he disagreed with them. And what he did not say that it is because of that disgareement that he is the Governor of California today.

Where are those wingnuts. Where is Tom Delay, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Richard Pearle etc. Where are they hiding? I wanted to see their reaction to Arnold's comment on disagreement. Where is our Attorney General?

<<[Arnold has] been a big surprise to me and a lot of Caleefornians>>

Yes, he has done better than anybody thought possible, probably the best that could be done.

However, that "best" consists of pushing all the state's financial problems off into the future by more borrowing. Not a single hard decision has been made yet.

California's system of government is still totally broken. Because of the 2/3 majority rule, and term limits, and the eternal prohibition on the legislature modifying proposition votes (such as 2/3 majority and term limits and Prop. 13 as applied to commercial property).

Eventually there will a come a crunch which will be very unpleasant. I hope Arnold is still governor then, because we'll need somebody with amazing bridge-building skills.
