Have any of you noticed how consistently wrong the National Pubic Radio is when covering this election.

They are the only nation-wide polling organization that continues to reflect (falsely) that Kerry leads Bush by 5% points in the race for the White House.

That's why I listen to NPR. I need to have a jolt of liberal juice from time to time just to realize how alive I am being a good old-fashioned conservative.

I do believe that NPR stands for the National Pubic Radio, not the National Public Radio. They lost their audience at about the same time that the public fled from the likes of Jim Lehrer.

And I am proud to say that I am one public who will not contribute one thin dime to either NPR or to Lehrer's publically supported network.

Isn't it a crying shame! Your tax dollars and my tax dollars support these two entities which lay claim to the heart and soul of America and regularly conduct their "begging for dollars" campaign.

Enough for them to go to the public trough where the taxpayers' money can be grabbed, permitting them to continue to fund their heavily biased news coverage.

If you think the BBC is a leftist front, then you haven't heard NPR lately. It wins the laurel crown that the BBC surrendered when it was found to be lying about Blair's government.

But to come begging for a private donation after that robbery is a bit much.

That is not called "bringing home the bacon" that is pure pork.

Not when it comes to your district. It is only "pork" when it goes to some other district.

Besides a new highway is a useful project. This one was even needed, unlike some of Sen. Byrd's excercises in W. Va.
