Z, He was voting to let Bush threaten Saddam, not necessarily to jump into a war.

This is another one of those nano-nuances that characterizes Kerry, and it's going to continually affect him politically. To explain it away would require giving Kerry the benefit of the doubt, and the only reason his supporters are giving it to him is because they disagree with or simply dislike Bush.

Like I said before, when push comes to shove, Kerry will remember where his base of support lies, and he will need to cater to them. Hence my statement that Kerry is a "peacenik at heart," though I admit exaggerating a bit when I said that. All the better for you and the other honest liberals, but remember that the election is all about the "swing vote."
