What the media gives they also take away. Watch for the next scandal and investigation to be about Bush's record. He has far more of a questionable nature in his past, even very recently, than Kerry.

The media turned the smearvet's small ad buy into a multimillion dollar bonanza - now discredited, but the damage was done. It's in the media interest to drum up controversy. Karl played them like a fiddle. I hope they noticed, and won't let it happen again.

<the so called liberal media> ... you got that right ...

.......... "so called"

The media has become rather conservative in recent years. Dan Rather--of all people--supported the invasion of Iraq.

Rove played the media like a violin on this smear Vet crap. Bush got millions of dollars of free "news" out of a few ads that appeared on television in only a few States.

Some of the interviews done by CNN on the subject were so weak. All they did was give undue attention to the attacks.

CNN always tries to be balanced. By doing so, they give the wingnuts a stage.

Every time I see the right wing guest walk on the stage for the Bill Maher show on HBO, I say to myself, "Don't invite these jerks onto your show." Why give them a stage?
