It's not simply that they are stupid; it is the fact that they WRAP THEMSELVES in their stupidity. They relish being uninformed, and uninformable. They look at those who read and research as 'intellectual elitists'. They view facts and reports as 'liberal nonsense'. They view thoughtful decision making as 'flip flopping'. And you're right; Bush is their hero. The Zero Who Made It. A shining beacon to incompetence. They look at Bush, and believe the American Dream: that literally ANYONE can be President of the United States.
