She actually compared her husband to Mandela !!! I hope Mandela didn't watch the speech! He's have died of a heart attack!

From the VoteNo War website:

When Dick Cheney speaks remember ...

Dick Cheney is the man of the hour tonight at the convention and on prime-time TV. Cheney, when he was
just a right-wing member of Congress, voted in 1986 in favor of the South African racist, apartheid government's imprisonment of Nelson Mandela. Mandela served 27 years in prison for the crime of struggling against apartheid.

The official White House Web Site goes out of its way today to defend Cheney's disgusting position: "While serving in the House of Representatives Dick Cheney solidified his reputation as a man of principle. In 1986, he voted against a resolution calling for the release of South African political prisoner Nelson Mandela. He stands by that vote even today noting that the African National Congress, the main political body supporting Mandela was 'viewed as a terrorist organization.'"
