>>with an imminent energy shortage coming ..<< Do you guy's go to school to learn scare tactic talking points? I heard this back in the 70's. Every day the earth is bathed in more energy than it can use from the sun. If and when oil runs out there are alternatives. You guy's can barely see past the tip of your nose.

The world is at a precarious point in it's development with an imminent energy shortage coming and a building greenhouse effect. The last thing we need right now is to be wasting our resources on Bush's oil wars.

Do you bother to think before you post? If it wasn't for "evil big oil" providing the necessary fuel, the worlds economy would crash to a halt. And to replace every mode of transportation that uses petroleum derivatives with a horse and buggy, which seems to be the dream of utopian leftist greenies, would mean increasing the equestrian population to the point where their methane "emmissions" would raise the global temperature at least ten degrees.

Energy is a commodity, and the only way to ensure that enough is produced is to let the free market, yes, that evil profit motive, work as it should.

try to learn something about energy.. i did the note taking for you now you can go to the site for more background reading and maybe you will not be so negative.

ExxonMobil releases study on energy needs.. report says that the world will require about 40% more energy in 2020 than today and consumption levels will reach almost 300 million oil-equivalent barrels per day.
these sizeable demand increases are expected even with continued 1% annual improvements in overall energy efficiency.

according to report 80% of energy growth through 2020 will go to improving living standards in many parts of the developing world, where 85% of the world's population will live in 20 years.

the full energy trends report and an interactive summary report are available online at www.exxonmobil.com
