Bill is a major hate figure for them, if you haven't noticed. Hillary is number 2. While there are a number of conservatives that wouldn't boo, and I do consider a majority of posters here in their number, Tench among them, it still is a fact that Bill has been demonized amongst the majority of the Republican faithful.

The vetting and loyalty oaths that are required to enter a Bush rally give them a sence of protection from common shame. It is much like donning the robe before a cross burning.
