At some point in time, if our society becomes more evil than good, less and less people will want to defend it.

The problem as I view it, is that the hard-core have nots prefer take from the haves than work and succeed on their own.
This attitude has been nursed by the demo Great Society programs that have allowed so many to become permanent fixtures on the welfare rolls.

GW has taken huge steps to eliminate have nots, i.e. 75% of Americans now live in homes their family owns.

It is obvious (to me) that Kerry continues, in his speeches, to pander to the have nots. He may not realize what a small segment that has become. And why bother at all, after all that segment is already fully indoctrinated to the notion that their ability to live off public subsidies requires demos in congress. The reason Kerry panders to them anyways is likely that he knows he has no message for the other 75%.
