I was neither a resident nor a citizen of the USA.

I came from outside of N. America! And I had the opportunity to help not a few American draft dodgers in Alberta, Canada. Most of those guys returned home after Nixon issued his amnesty.

From the friends of the draft dodgers, mostly returned Vietnam Veterans, I heard of the atrocities that were perpetrated in Vietnam.

Prior to arriving in Canada, I became acquainted with some American Peace Corp members serving overseas and from them I understood why so many young Americans of the Vietnam War period didn't want to die for Johnson's mistake.

After the Vietnam War, I was invited to live in the US.
I said, "No thanks!" No regrets whatsover!
