Pres Bush could demonstrate his fatherly instincts while highlighting JK's indecisiveness by stating to rally crowds that "John Kerry has changed his mind on major issues so many times he reminds me of the children's tale "The Flopsy Bunny."

<FlipFlopityFlopping'AlongKerry>

Kerry has a big problem uniting the liberal and more moderate elements of the Party. The Liberal wing wants universal healthcare and a complete US withdrawal out of Iraq. Kerry has campaigned from both the center and left. Thus, the flip flops. Unfortunately, there has been no indication from Senator Kerry and his team that the actions of a future Democratic Administration would be different in any material way. On the external front, there are no indications of any modification in the US policies of occupation and pre-emption. On the internal front, there are no indications of any change in the US policies of piling up gigantic deficits and relying on the "good will" of the rest of the world to make up the difference. It is a sad fact that the US Congress, with almost no exceptions, has gone along with every phase of the "war against terror" and the "war on Iraq". On the domestic front, the only item of contention has been the size of President Bush's tax cuts. As any opposition party would, the Democrats have expressed alarm at the speed with which the US government is sinking into deficit. They have not said one word about how they would address the problem.

Moderate Republicans tend to be more pragmatic and loyal to the Party. Democrats tend to be more idealistic and rebellious.

Kerry may still be able to pull this out. He got his work cut out for him but beating Bush is still very doable.
