<<Why would you trust the Canadian government not to grab gold in safe deposit boxes etc?>>
Gold mining is a significant industry in Canada and the government wants people to buy the output. They are forever issuing commemorative gold coins. There's never been a whiff of banning the private ownership of gold. BUY CANADIAN certainly includes gold. It's not a matter of moral virtue; the Canadian gold industry certainly does not want the government to start banning the purchase of their output by the 30 million nearby folks.

EP,

It is just a game. Hide a bit in Canada, a bit in Japan, a bit in the backyard, and pray.

Never disclosed on any documents, always under the radar, and maybe it might survive the early days of a meltdown.

What more can you do?
