One candidate in this election spoke the following words. Do you know which one?

"We need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime. We all know the litany of his offenses. He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation. ...And now he is miscalculating America’s response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real, but it is not new. It has been with us since the end of the Persian Gulf War."

Congressional Analysts See Worse Long-Term Deficit

Tue Sep 7,10:00 AM ET
news.yahoo.com

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The federal budget deficit will balloon to $2.29 trillion over the next decade, a worse outlook than previously forecast according to a new report by congressional analysts, a congressional source with knowledge of the numbers said on Tuesday.

The forecast from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (news - web sites), which is likely to stir the election-year debate about President Bush (news - web sites)'s economic policies, compares to the $2.01 trillion outlook for 2005-2014 it provided in March for the shortfall under current economic policies.

The source also said CBO confirmed a preliminary forecast it put out in August showing an expected record deficit of $422 billion for the 2004 fiscal year.

That compares to the White House's latest deficit forecast of $445 billion for this year. The White House no longer provides a 10-year deficit forecast.

(Possibly because the 10 year projections produce figures too disturbing to consider....)

Yea how dare Bush do that! Only problem is Congress agreed including John Kerry's own vote. Kerry is so forgetful about his votes, I'm wondering if he might be in the Ronald Reagan category.

the hero of hanoi: "those who doubted whether Iraq or the world would be better off without Saddam Hussein, and those who believe today that we are not safer with his capture, don't have the judgment to be president or the credibility to be elected president."

Kerry: Bush 'Chose' Iraq War, Americans Pay Bill

Is this his position this week? This must have been some of the advice that BC gave him. Shuffle your handlers, talk to Bill, wife is going wacko...better try the anti-war tactic. He's at least got some credibility with that.
