It seems the French and Germans were quite reasonable in asking for time for the UN inspectors to finish before they got involved in a war....

You are hopelessly gullible and naive. Next you'll be telling us that the unaccounted billions of dollars at the UN in Saddam's Food-for-oil program were just rounding off errors.

French connection armed Saddam
By Bill Gertz
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

New intelligence revealing how long France continued to supply and arm Saddam Hussein's regime infuriated U.S. officials as the nation prepared for military action against Iraq.

The intelligence reports showing French assistance to Saddam ongoing in the late winter of 2002 helped explain why France refused to deal harshly with Iraq and blocked U.S. moves at the United Nations.

"No wonder the French are opposing us," one U.S. intelligence official remarked after illegal sales to Iraq of military and dual-use parts, originating in France, were discovered early last year before the war began...

That's doubtful. Besides, in 18thC the French were assisting those who were fighting their most dreaded enemy--the British. As usual, the Frenchies were covering their own derrieres. France refused to go along with actions against Iraq because it's pockets were being filled at the time by the Food for Oil program.
They're simply common thieves.

What have the French done for us since 1777????? And, as far as all the people who have died.....I'm so sorry for all the fine Americans and Iraqis who have died trying to rid Iraq of a terrible man and his two evil sons.

For those who are trying to destroy the Iraqi's chance for peace and their brand of democracy, I wish we could rid Iraq of them. Totally!

The good news is Saddam isn't shredding, raping, chopping, shooting, beheading, or filling mass graves anymore. Neither are his two sons. HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS KILLED by these Murderers!

Surely, you aren't sympathizing with them, are you?

As for as your "rush".....Right....12 - 20 years ...yes, YEARS....of trying to "negotiate", or discuss, cajole, or be diplomatic....where exactly did that get anyone?

The French and Germans had large contracts to do business with Iraq under Saddam.

Watch....you will see, once all the papers have been gone through. There is a good deal of information that will find it's way to the surface over the next few years....
