You inspired me. I watched Dan for about 5 minutes. He leads into a story on Bush's 8 point lead in the latest CBS poll by saying "Mr Bush has gained the lead, at least in the polls, ......."

Couldn't just state the fact. Had to qualify it. Absurdly. He is pretty entertaining, which is after all his job.
