I bet ABC News is enjoying this as much as we are!

You bet. There is nothing these news organizations love to do like catch a competitor with his pants down. Even though it helps Bush, they will be all over this. CBS knows they must get out in front of this as soon as possible. Stonewalling will kill them just like it kills a politician.

Will it go down as "Rathergate?" I hope so. "What did he know and when did he know it?"

I just sent that as a suggestion for a name to 10 of my favorite bloggers.

I think CBS news will know the whole truth by tomorrow. It doesn't take long to see that these papers are a forgery.

Therefore, I expect Rather to go over the situation toward the end of his broadcast tomorrow, apologize to Bush, and take himself off the air.

I don't see how he can honorably do anything else. He may hold out until Monday if he wants to clutch at straws. But the amount of sniggering and abuse he will be subject to if he stays will be too much for him to take.
