I am sorry but those broad sweeping and unqualified statements are nothing more than the vain ramblings of a frustrated politico. There is little in that retort that is factually accurate and nothing that I care to comment on.

The first and most basic freedom is the freedom from foreign domination.

Tell that to the citizens of Hong Kong, who were appalled at the prospect of being turned over to the PRC. Silly them, they were more interested in civil liberties, moderate governance, competent administration, and personal and economic liberty than in being ruled by their own ethnic group.
