>>Has anyone tried that with any IBM typewriter?

Hugh Hewitt has offered $10,000 to anybody who can duplicate the memos using ANY typewriter.

The strongest argument, I believe, is not that it COULD NOT be done on a typewriter, but that it WAS NOT done on a typewriter.

But I guess that begs the question - if someone CAN reproduce it on a typewriter which Killian could have used, using ordinary techniques, we'll all have egg on our faces.

But I doubt it.

BTW, Rather's witness retracted, said he was misled to believe that the memos were handwritten, only heard the content over the phone, never saw them. Hodges says he said, "well, if he wrote them, that's how he felt."
