We dont even know who we're fighting in Iraq yet. One big reason why this war is a total fiasco. Similar to Vietnam. In Nam, it took us 30 years to find out who we were really fighting and why they were fighting us. Turned out it was a local civil war, nothing to do with a communist takeover. The VC thought they were freedom fighters fighting for their homeland. That's why they were willing to die. In Iraq it might be the same. We might not be fighting terrorists at all. But we just don't know.
