No, it cannot be Karl Rove. A deed this diabolical, enough to bring down the bulk of the cbs journalist team and simultaneously cause grievious damage to the Kerry campaign as well requires an evil genius the world has not seen yet.

Yes, I'm talking about that shadowy evil genius known only as Karl Rove's brain --- alias : Deep Thought, to those who are truly in the know.

:-)

...the LA Times is less outraged that CBS tried to perpetrate a fraud...

I think this misses the point. The LA Times hasn't concluded that CBS was behind any fraud. This is what the article said:

<<CBS News has been had. It's hard to reach any other conclusion... >>

So obviously they're not going to be outraged about it.

..."Karl Rove, who is responsible for everything bad that happens everywhere...

When I read that in the LA Times article, I just knew I've find some umbrage down thread. LOL.

I lost interest in this story somewhere in the first fifteen minutes and I admit to skimming ever since so I may have missed something important. I would appreciate being made aware of any evidence to date that CBS concocted a fraud as opposed to being too eager and unskeptical about one offered to them.
