<<So now we have the producer and the unknown guy who vetted the documents as suspects. But just suspects>>

You own two cows, one is in the barn eating, the other has been lying in the pasture for four days without a twitch.
Her body temp is the same as the air temp, 38 degrees. And you merely suspect that the cow may be dead?

First look at what typewriter output looks like:

usatoday.com

Notice that every single character on every single line is perfectly aligned with those above. Next notice that each character is smudged and has a variable amount of displacement from the horizontal.

Now check out the 6 forged documents posted by the USA Today, they are very compressed, but it is still blatantly not from a typewriter.

usatoday.com

Now it doesn't really matter how much the USA today compressed the 6 forged documents, the difference just blazes from the page.

You remind me of the three monkeys.

Edit: Make that 2 of the 3 monkeys.

How could you possibly come here everyday and not know what is going on?

I reread some of those items, the later ones once the investigation got past the memos themselves and moved on to who was at fault, but I find no documents. The only mention of a document that I find is the Emily Will email to the producer. But no amount of googling will produce the actual document. So I am assuming this document thingy is a dead end. (A misunderstanding. Or perhaps it's a hoax perpetrated at my expense. <g>)

The Will email suggests that the producer either knew or should have suspected. So now we have the producer and the unknown guy who vetted the documents as suspects. But just suspects.
