The point is that the US does not actively prevent its citizens from pursuing their private goals. You know, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness. The founding fathers did not say, life, liberty, guaranteed happiness, btw. I am sure that you can see the significance of that. It is greatly amusing to me that folks like you, Americans who were born in America, are so ready to hand over the keys to the city to folks like me, naturalized Americans. You have to be an immigrant to appreciate the country's strengths, I guess.
