I see nothing wrong with us recognizing and accepting an offer that improves the situation. It does not have to be egg in the face, nor does it have to be incompatible with our presense in Iraq... just one big happy group of colleagues ... uh, well I can hope can't I?

Kevin, I don't think they would last long. As soon as Sadr or the Fallujah gang start acting up, these countries will hear their mother calling and run home. They simply do not have a vital interest that would politically allow their soldiers to be killed for a nebulous American goal. We don't either, but we have a nutburger for a President.

Huh? Egypt said that if we went into Iraq we would be 'opening the gates of hell.' I understand that Mubarak now says that 'the gates of hell are open.'

Foreign troops, muslim or not, are a nonstarter in Iraq and have been for a long time now. I don't think anyone can say with any certainty if ANY COUNTRY would send in troops into Iraq RIGHT NOW for ANY REASON.
