I like what Kerry is doing now. He needs to keep hammering on the two main issues: Iraq and the economy.

Bush is a failure on many other issues: the environment, health care, civil liberties, energy policy, terrorism, etc. Part of the problem is the list is too long.

Iraq. The economy. Bush's policies have failed.

Simple. Even extremists would understand that message.

I don't think Kerry's going to be able to entice any allies into that meatgrinder. I think what will have to happen is, he's going to have to pull out, and the countries bordering Iraq will carve it up. The Turks will want the north to control the Kurds and that oil, the Iranians will ally with the Shia and the Sunni will be a subsumed minority, after holding power with Saddam.
