It will not take long for Iran to finish preparations for the "Arab" bomb. Iranians are not Arabs. The Iranian nuclear facilities must closed or put out of commission. Pakistan, a Muslim state with deep connections to terrorism and a very unstable government, is armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons. An invasion of Iran would, among other things, increase the likelihood of a Muslim revolution in Pakistan -- now that would be the ultimate threat. Prior to developing nuclear weapons, Pakistan was a rogue state. Now the US kisses Paki butt. Do you want to see the US kissing Iranian butt too? As for Putin, he can't control a hostage taking at a school, much less secure the nuclear materials in the former soviet union. Its a little early to make that judgement. Iran will develop the bomb and we will adjust -- How do you propose the US adjusts to fundamentalist Islamic mulahs in control of nuclear missiles and other WMDs? How do you propose the US adjusts to fundamentalist Islamic martyrs willing to take a nuclear WMD to the US and detonate it? Capitulate or negotiate? The citizens of the US have to wake up and smell the coffee. There is a new (economic) cold war and it is about control of oil and gas. For example, I see France has just entered into yet another deal with Iran, this time a $2 billion LNG deal with Iran, lending legitimacy to this rogue fundamentalist Islamic state. This is just one of many deals between Iran and France, Germany, Japan, China and India, all designed to provide oil and gas exclusively to each party, making oil less fungible as old giant oil fields are depleated, thereby slowly choking off oil supply to the US. had we not invaded Iraq this might have gone in a different direction. Yes, terrorists might have already struck again on US soil.
