On the corruption level, I have heard that Zell's turn to the far right coincided with him taking a great deal of money from the tobacco lobby, a big GOP ally. LOL. Check your facts, ArmPit. Tobacco doesn't even make it in the top 20 industries among Zell's campaign contributors. In the last five years, he has received only $29k from the tobacco industry. NY Demo rep Charlie Rangel took more than that in one year. opensecrets.org Not that taking tobacco money is proof of corruption, mind you. Tobacco producers have as much right to political expression as currency manipulators.
