To add to that, "expansion" is an irrelevant nuance, though I agree Israel ought to stop the settlements. But why wait until Israel and America is blameless and faultless in their foreign policies before taking strong actions against the terrorists? Like I keep saying before, the extremists aren't going to be impressed, and the citizenry are still going to be too scared or powerless to make a difference.

One of the keys to winning the war in iraq is this notion of winning the hearts and minds of iraqis...in other words, to make it difficult for ideals of terror to gain a foothold among the general population. This is intuitively and now empirically clear in Iraq. The same is of course true in Palestine. The US should be fair, open minded, and a catalyst to peace, even if the results are meager. To be a sideline observer in Palestine (while arming the Israeli side) and a warring party in Iraq is an equation for failure, as we are witnessing in spades.

There are no perfect solutions there...there are no solutions at all with incompetence and intransigence, and there certainly are no solutions without including Palestine, where bush has done less than NOTHING.

I understand your bottom line though. You make the mistake of believing that Israel is the problem with respect to Muslim terrorists. You are completely missing the point, as Israel is actually the first line of defense. If they succeed in taking down Israel, they will be emboldened to broaden the attack on to much larger targets.

Scumbria is a Zionist. He spouts the Zionist party line. Its intended to insure the unwavering US support for Israel no matter how much they screw around with the Arabs. Its old and tiresome news. I can't give it any more reaction than that.
